Pincurl Vintage

Some Shopping. (Effing Finaly)

After watching my little cousin come in 6th place at the Little League World Series, I finaly got to do some shopping. For the first time in about a year :/ Managed to snag two new pairs of jeans, a pair of converse, and some slouchy cowboy Taylor Swift-esque boots. Snapped a pic of the boots, and will post pics of the jeans later. I’d post pics of the converse, but they’re the standard black and white low tops, Not very interesting.

shosies $15 at Ross, and comfy to boot (No pun intended). Not a bad deal.

Anyone have advice on where to shop for back to school?

A little Pincurling Expiriment

After being ridiculously out of practice, and with school (and DECA) right around the corner, I figured out was about time to get my skills in check. It took a lot of time a lot of frustration, and 15 hours to dry (not kidding, it really took that long, and the nape of my neck was still a little damp). Here’s the before and after. Comments and suggestions would be absolutely loverly.

beforeblogafterblogAll in all, I’m not that dissapointed by the results. I just wish I had snapped a picture of when I brushed all the curls out later in the day. It looked a lot more 40’s-esque.

Gilda; Great fashion and A Great Movie

After weeks of doing not much else but listen to “Put The Blame on Mame”, I finaly got around to watching Gilda. What an awsome movie. Rita Hayworth was a badass, for lack of better terminology. She looked absolutely stunning throughout the film. Here are some of my favorite outfits (and the famous striptease number courtesy of youtube).

gilda1A Stunning evening dress, very sequin-y. I fell in love with it almost instantly.

gilda2Another great evening dress. Had a very grecian feel to it.

gilda3 An awesome fitted suit. I wish I could have gotten a shot of the entire thing. The shoulders are a little wide for my personal tastes, but It’s still great inspiration for DECA this year.

Last but not least, the musical number that has been stuck in my head since the first time I saw it. And the classiest strip tease I’ve ever seen ;)

Have you watched Gilda? What were your impressions from it? Love it? Hate it? I’d love to hear about it
